I love December. The first day of December is Brian's birthday, and I love ringing in the month by celebrating him. I love traditions, slightly chilly weather, community, and most importantly, Jesus and since December is full of all those things, we get along pretty well.
I'm keeping my goals few this month so that I can do the ones that I have really well. I'm not even thinking practical to-do's or home projects this month.
1. Adore Jesus more, and distractions less. In checking my heart last month I found myself adoring and longing for some other things more than I long for and adore Jesus. That's not okay with me, so I'm fasting those things this month and asking Jesus to make me new and show me how He is so much better than anything else.
2. Do my intentional advent bucket list.
3. Cast vision for 2015. For the first time ever I'm doing Lara Casey's Powersheets and I'm half scared and half thrilled. I know these are going to give me a good and welcomed push out of my comfort zone and I'm ready for it. I'd like to get alone with God for a few hours and seek Him on what He may have for me.
And that's it! Are you keeping your goals simple this month too?
